# rfc.dk

> Complete, searchable mirror of the RFC series (Request for Comments) published by the RFC Editor: 9,836 documents from RFC 1 (1969) through RFC 10042, full text, synchronised from rsync.rfc-editor.org every 6 hours. Independent and not affiliated with the RFC Editor, the IETF or the Internet Society; texts are reproduced verbatim.

RFC numbers in URLs are not zero-padded (/rfc791/, not /rfc0791/; padded forms redirect). Every page sends ETag and Last-Modified and answers conditional requests with 304. Status values used throughout: Internet Standard, Draft Standard, Proposed Standard, Best Current Practice, Informational, Experimental, Historic, Unknown. The authoritative source for RFCs and their errata is the RFC Editor.
